Tell us what you do for a living?
I don’t really have a job, but I am now a Senior at Holston High School in Damascus, Virginia. I am involved in 3 sports.
How do you support your racing, side hustle, sponsor, partner, etc.?
A sponsor I have had for a while is MelMark Pipe and Supply in El Reno, Oklahoma.
What’s the hardest part of drag racing?
The hardest part for me is the mental part of it.
What is your favorite race car, and why?
It would probably be Carson Brown’s s-10. It’s just a super nice truck. I am going to drive it one day, he just doesn’t know it yet lol
What’s your most embarrassing moment in a race car?
Definitely when I treed a girl by a lot and drove top end way too much and let her back around me.
What are you saying to yourself just before you stage the car?
“Brianna don’t be red, but don’t be .100 green either” or “Brianna pull it together we have to win this round”
What do you enjoy the most at the racetrack?
That’s a tough one, I enjoy the learning experience that comes along with racing, but I also enjoy making life long friends.
Are you superstitious? If so, what are they?
I am very superstitious. It changes race to race but if I do something before one round and I win I will continue to do it every round after that.
Do you love to win or hate to lose?
Is both an option? I love the feeling of winning obviously, but when losing and learning what I did wrong and how to fix it, is also a good feeling.
Which are you better at the starting line or the finish line?
Finish line, I try to change so much stuff at the starting line. I am trying to get better at it though.
What motivates you to continue racing?
This would also be my dad. He has accomplished so much throughout his racing career and I wanna be successful just like he is. I also see how much he loves to see my brother and I go down the track and it just makes me want to continue doing what I love.
If money were no object, what would your racing operation look like? Car, trailer, class, race schedule, etc.
I would always be racing at some track and traveling. I would have a nice motorhome and a stacker. My race cars would include a black or red side step s-10 and maybe a grey dragster.
How often do you use a practice tree?
I used to barely use it, but recently I have been using it 3-4 a week.
What is your daily driver?
2008 Nissan Altima
What is your favorite sport? Favorite team?
Basketball is my favorite sport for sure. Favorite team is probably West Virginia, BYU, or UConn
Besides racing, what do you do in your free time?
I am a varsity basketball and volleyball player. I also participate in Track and Field.
What are you really good at?
I would like to think I am good at basketball
Name one thing most people don’t know about you?
I am scared of snakes and spiders
Would you rather hang out with a crowd or have a quiet evening at home?
Hangout with friends, but not really a crowd.
What’s your favorite thing to eat? Individual item, meal, or restaurant?
It has to be between a Chicken ACP at Mexican and Chick-fil-a
Who would you like to thank, who helps you the most?
My family for letting me do what I love pretty much every weekend and spending their time supporting me.
What is a piece of advice that you’d give to an aspiring racer?
Racing is a very tough sport, it will be hard but it will all pay off in the long run. Don’t over think, don’t over complicate, and definitely don’t give up.
