Jr DragChamp Spotlight with Linly Hatcher

This week’s DragChamp Jr. Racer Spotlight is all about recent IHRA Gulfport Summit Super Series Junior Dragster winner, Linly Hatcher.

PACE, FL- Linly Hatcher has been racing Junior Dragsters since 2019 after she was introduced to the sport of drag racing by her Dad, two brothers, Griffin and Landon and her Grandpa. She currently competes in the 8.90 class and frequents Gulfport Dragway and Atmore Dragway. Her race car is a 2019 Mike Bos that they have owned for about two years. Outside of Racing

When Linly isn’t behind the wheel of her hot rod, she can be found playing volleyball or working on her jewelry business. Her favorite TV Shows are Outerbanks and the Simpsons and her favorite music artist is Taylor Swift. She spends the most time shopping on the internet and she enjoys going to the beach. Volleyball is her favorite sport and she loves to cheer on the Auburn University volleyball team. She is really good at painting and her favorite thing to eat is strawberries.

What’s the hardest part of drag racing?

Cutting a good light

Cutting a 100 light

What are you saying to yourself just before you stage the car?

I always pray and say, “do good”

What do you enjoy the most at the racetrack?

Seeing all my friends

Are you superstitious?  If so, what are they?

Nope, but my Dad is about racing.

Do you love to win or hate to lose?

Both, I love winning and hate losing

Which are you better at the starting line or the finish line?

What motivates you to continue racing?

My Dad because he motivates me to do better.

If money were no object, what would your racing operation look like?  Car, trailer, class, race schedule, etc.
