Tennessee Throwdown Race Results

The second annual Tennessee Throwdown crowns three winners thanks to Team Flatbill Promotions and Crossville Dragway.

CROSSVILLE, Tenn. – Team Flatbill Promotions started the 2020 season with back to back big money bracket races. Just five days after completing the Memorial Day Mayhem at Holly Springs, Chad Axford started signing checks at Crossville Dragway for the Tennessee Throwdown.

A jam-packed schedule included test and tune, a 64 Car 5k Shootout, three 10k main events, and a Gamblers Race. The winners took home big checks and a sweet cup to remember the weekend.

Friday Race Results

The first $10,000 payout of the weekend was a no-split final between Nick Gowan of Taylorsville, KY and Scotty Johnson of Johnson City, TN. Gowan overtook Johnson with a .007 margin of victory to cash his check.

Friday’s Inmotion Solutions Fat 5k saw Jody Davies of Gallatin, TN outlast KC Pesnell of Gardendale, AL.

Saturday Race Results

Brian Knight from Cross Plains, TN started his 2020 season with a string of .00 reaction times in his Camaro and a $10,000 payday after defeating Louis Trentham.

The Davies family had a memorable weekend at the Throwdown, with Robert picking up his first win since graduating from junior dragsters. Davies brought home $3,000 over Clayton Clark in Saturdays gamblers race.

Sunday Race Results

Slick Rick Baehr busted the bottom bulb all the way to the winner’s circle in the final 10k of the weekend over Charlie Hardy.
