Bobby Fazio and Joe Santangelo took the stage at Maple Grove after winning in Super Stock and Stock Eliminator, respectively.
READING, PA – The Mopar Express Lane NHRA Nationals at Maple Grove Raceway concluded over the weekend where racers picked up Wally’s, some first time winners and some veterans. Bobby Fazio (SS) and Joe Santangelo (STK) lead the weekend, where Fazio picked up his first National event Wally and Santangelo picked up his 19th National event Wally.
Joining them in the winners circle was Frank Aragona (Comp), Taylor Iacono (SC), Jason Kenny (SG), and Tom Martino (TD).

2021 Mopar Express Lane NHRA Nationals
Competition Eliminator – Frank Aragona
Frank Aragona defeated Chip Ippolitio in the final round to pick up his 15th National event Wally. Ippolitio turned on the red bulb by -.043, giving Aragona the win who coasted to the finish line with a 9.652 at 88 mph.
Santo Volpe was the semi-finalist.
Stock Eliminator – Joe Santangelo
Joe Santangelo defeated Allison Doll in the final round to take home his 19th National event Wally. Doll had the starting line advantage, .009 to .020, but took too much stripe to breakout by .02. Santangelo ran dead on his 10.45 dial-in with a 6 at 117 mph.
Carl Massafra was the semi-finalist.
Super Stock – Bobby Fazio
Bobby Fazio collected his first National event Wally after defeating Jonathan Allegrucci in the final round. Allegrucci turned on the red bulb by -.003, handing the win over to Fazio who was .038 and ran a 10.627 at 122 mph.
Semi-finalists were Byron Worner and Shane Oakes.
Super Comp – Taylor Iacono
Taylor Iacono raced to her first National event Wally in her sister’s car after defeating her uncle, Lee Ream, in the final round. Ream had the slight starting line advantage, .025 to .029, but Iacono chased him down to a 8.919 at 175 mph to a losing 8.930 at 174 mph.
Semi-finalists were Tom Stalba and Josh Eastburn.
Super Gas – Jason Kenny
Jason Kenny raced to his fifth National event Wally after defeating Bill Nuzzo in the final round. Nuzzo had the starting line advantage, .012 to .036, but Kenny chased his down to win on a double-breakout running a 9.899 at 166 mph.
Keith Mayers was the semi-finalist.
Top Dragster – Tom Martino
Tom Martino defeated Al Kenny to win his first National event Wally in his first final round. Martino had a slight starting line advantage, .017 to .022, and ran a 6.620 on his 6.59 dial-in to take out Kenny who had problems.
Anthony Bertozzi was the semi-finalist.
