Winners Emerge at 9th Annual Southern Big Buck Nationals

Thirteen racers picked up wins at the Flicker Promotions 9th Annual Southern Big Buck Nationals at State Capitol Raceway.

BATON ROGUE, LA- Flicker Promotions in conjunction with CP Promotions held their 9th Annual Southern Big Buck Nationals February 18-20, 2022 at State Capitol Raceway. The jam-packed event featured three-days of competition in the $10K Box, $5K No Box, and Junior Dragster categories. Saturday also featured a Cajun King Shootout, No-Box Shootout, and a Burnout contest!

Rick’s Powder Coating Friday Results

$10K Box

In Friday’s $10,000-to-win Box class, Cory Gulitti picked up the win over Jake Levatino.

$5K No Box

Jimmy Denham grabbed the final win light in Friday’s $5,000-to-win No Box class over Stuart Olinde.

FuelTech Saturday Results

$15K Box

Derrick Patton claimed the Saturday Box win over Buddy Ferrell.

$7K No Box

Lucas Walker picked up the Saturday No Box win over Robby Mullins.

8-12 Year Old Jr. Dragster

In Saturday’s 8-12 year old Junior Dragster class, Douglas Hughes parked his ride in the winner’s circle. Addilyn Thiels was the runner-up finisher.

13-18 Year Old Jr. Dragster

Mario Gonzalez claimed the 13-18 year old Saturday Junior Dragster win over Maddie Chesne.

Cajun King Shootout

Rocky McLain drives to victory in the Cajun King Shootout. Rodney Jordan was the runner-up.

No Box Shootout

Chad Sandlin picked up the Saturday No Box Shootout win over Jeremiah Butler.

Burnout Contest

Stuart Olinde won the Saturday night burnout contest.

Ezell Race Cars Sunday Results

$10K Box

Brittany Ezell LeJeune cashed in on the final day, picking up the Sunday $10K Box win over Greg Parr. This win was particularly special because she got to share the Winner’s Circle with Sunday’s No Box winner and her Dad, Wyatt Ezell.

$5K No Box

Wyatt Ezell claimed the final No Box win light over Michael Crass on Sunday.

8-12 Year Old Jr. Dragster

In Sunday’s 8-12 Year Old Junior Dragster class, Slade Olinde picked up the win over Collin Landry.

13-18 Year Old Jr. Dragster

Maddie Chesne claimed Sunday’s 13- 18 Year old Junior Dragster win over DragChamp’s own, Austin Free.
